"Thanks to the generous support of the Crédit Agricole Solidarité Développement Foundation, the Paris Opera House is developing for the first time a project for our seniors by making virtual reality headsets available to some 40 FEHAP retirement homes, provided and operated by the french company VR4GOOD, so that residents can enjoy a rich immersive experience by viewing excerpts from operas and ballets and content specially designed for VR format. This project, which starts in spring 2021, will allow you to immerse yourself in 360° in the Palais Garnier and the Opéra Bastille, guided by the poetic stroll of artists in the venues, or to discover the ballets Le Parc and Notre-Dame de Paris, which are captured in March and April 2021. This will be accompanied by mediation actions with Opera artists in the nursing homes. The Paris Opera House, the FEHAP (Federation of Hospitaller Establishments and Aid to Private Solidarity Persons) and the Fondation Crédit Agricole Solidarité Développement announce the implementation of a scheme for EHPAD residents to help bring art and culture into their daily lives, in particular through virtual reality headsets adapted to the elderly."
